Finding a drink

How do I get a drink? On Discover, shake your phone, or tap the glass. A drink pours itself and turns into the real thing; tap Pour it to make it, or shake again for another.

Shaking does nothing. Tap the glass instead; it does the same. On iPad, tapping is the easier way.

Can Discover look different? Yes: Settings › Dashboard theme has four, Pour & reveal, Mood dial, Pour-in and Café menu.

I only want drinks with no alcohol. Turn on Settings › Zero-proof mode. Cocktailor then shows only the 499 drinks without alcohol.

Mixing

Can I use ounces? Yes: Settings › Show amounts in oz. On a drink’s page you can also scale it up for more glasses.

How does hands-free mixing work? While mixing, tap the microphone. Each step is read aloud, and you can say “next”, “back”, “start”, “stop” or “again”. It is part of Cocktailor Pro, and you can watch a short ad to try it once.

Hands-free does not hear me. It needs the microphone and speech recognition: check Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone and Speech Recognition on your device, and that Cocktailor is allowed in both. Without them, the screen still stays on and each step is still read aloud.

Where are the drinks I made? After Cheers, tap Save to my history. The drinks you have made, with your ratings, are under Saved.

My Bar and Saved

How does My Bar work? Tick the bottles and mixers you have, and My Bar shows every drink you can make with them right now, and what to buy for more.

How many collections can I make? Two in the free version, as many as you like with Pro. Saving favourites has no limit.

Do my bar and saved drinks move to a new phone? They are kept on the device you use, which is what keeps them private. Deleting the app deletes them.

Cocktailor Pro and ads

What is in Pro? No ads, hands-free mixing, party mode (scale any drink for a crowd, water and all), drinks picked for you, best buys, unlimited collections and diary stats. It is a subscription with a free trial. Prices are shown in the app, from the App Store.

When do ads show? At a natural pause, such as after a finished drink, never while you mix. There are none in your first two days.

How do I cancel Pro? On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Cocktailor, at least 24 hours before it renews. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

I bought Pro and it is missing. In Cocktailor, open Settings › Cocktailor Pro and tap Restore, on a device signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Languages

Which languages? English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. Cocktailor follows your device’s language; change it in Settings › Language.

Privacy

Cocktailor has no account and keeps everything you add on your device. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and Pro purchases are checked with RevenueCat; what that involves is on the privacy page.
